Recent programs:
Kathy M. talked to us about her “Doll Club” and brought in some beautiful dolls for us to see.
We did a program on friends past and present – very enjoyable.
Phyllis F. told us about visits to the Veterans Nursing Home to see Carl and what help they have there.
Virginia E. came as Lydia and literally took us back to Phillip and all she did to help Paul in his mission. You felt you were there, it was so moving.
Janice W. took us back 139 years of U.M.W. and Woman’s Christian Society and explained what “Dark Horse” was (one member won it at each meeting!!).
Mary K. started our year with a program on Church Colors which was later used for the Confirmation Class.
Our September 2006 program was about the Japanese Gardens in Staten Island
Our October 2006 meeting was a historical and emotional remembrance of wars that of which many of our families were a part.
For Meeting Dates, watch the church calendar!
If you want to meet more interesting guest speakers as well as a great group of women come join the Lydia Circle and have your eyes open to what was, and what could be. They meet on the first Wednesday of every month in the Parlor from 10:30am to 12:00 noon. They’re hoping to see you soon. Here is a picture of some of the beautiful members of the Lydia circle. Enjoy!
